Lone Star Children’s Therapy offers comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment for children from birth through 10 years old. In addition to hands-on therapy, we provide expert consultations and educational workshops designed to equip caregivers and educators with the latest evidence-based strategies. OT Evaluations & Treatment (Birth to 10 Years Old)
Our comprehensive evaluations combine standardized assessments with play-based observations to pinpoint each child’s strengths and challenges. From that foundation, we design individualized treatment plans—whether working on motor skills, sensory integration, or self-regulation—tailored specifically for children and babies up to age 10. With ongoing progress monitoring, we adjust goals and techniques in real time, ensuring your child experiences measurable growth and renewed confidence every step of the way.
Physical Therapy Treatment
Physical therapy that focuses on helping children improve their motor skills,
strength, balance, coordination, and overall movement abilities. It addresses a
variety of conditions that may impact a child’s physical development and
function, helping them reach their full potential. PTs work on neuromuscular
delays, orthopedic issues, and developmental delays.
Consultations
Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or seeking a second opinion, our expert therapists are here to help. In a one-on-one consultation, we’ll review your child’s history and current needs, recommend appropriate interventions, and connect you with community resources. Think of it as your personalized road map—clear, actionable, and grounded in the latest pediatric therapy research.
Education
Knowledge is power. Our educational offerings include interactive workshops, informative webinars, and take-home resource guides that demystify therapeutic techniques and developmental milestones. We translate complex evidence-based strategies into practical, classroom- or living-room–ready tips, so teachers and caregivers can seamlessly integrate them into daily routines.
Parent Coaching
Parenting isn’t one-size-fits-all—nor is therapy. Don’t walk, RUN to Marnie! We have used her previously with our oldest child for fine motor difficulties and sensory challenges, and now with our youngest for gross and fine motor delays. We wouldn’t trust anyone else! We had tried someone before her when going through figuring out what my oldest needed. They were absolutely terrible. Marnie was a lifesaver! She effectively balances multiple approaches to OT, tailored to your child’s needs. She integrates emotion regulation tips and tricks for the older kids, as appropriate. One of my favorite phrases that she taught my son when he was struggling with cognitive rigidity was to encourage him to be a “flexible noodle”. We still use this with him to this day! She is extremely thorough in her work and her documentation. You get photos/videos and a progress note directly to you within 24 hours of each session. She is always available for questions between sessions. She coordinates and collaborates with your child’s teachers and other providers, as necessary. If she has space, you are lucky to be able to work with her!
